Options for Brush Disposal

The City of West Lake Hills Code of Ordinance require property owners to remove dead wood from their property. Currently, the following options are available to residents, at no charge, through the City’s solid waste contractor, Texas Disposal System (TDS): 

Curbside Brush Collection     
  • Collected once a month on a call-in basis, 
  • Collection day is always on a Tuesday, but it is a different Tuesday for each area of town. Residents must call TDS ((512) 329-1758) 48 hours in advance to schedule the pickup. 
  • Brush must be bagged or bundled. Bundles must be less than 4 feet long. 
  • Weight cannot exceed 40 pounds per bundle/bag.
  • No more than 35 bags or 3 cubic yards (equivalent to the size of a washer and dryer side by side) of bundled branches, etc. per pick up 
Coupon for Drop Off at Landfill      
  • Coupon is free disposal of up to 5 cubic yards of green waste at the TDS Landfill in Creedmoor.
  • Coupons are only available at City Hall.
  • Must present coupon and Driver’s License when dropping off.
  • No paints, liquids, or hazardous waste will be accepted.
  • One coupon, per resident.
Texas Disposal Systems Transfer Station
Texas Disposal Systems also has a transfer station that will accept green waste, household trash, and construction debris, for a fee. It is another options fro disposing of solid waste - including yard waste. The facility is located at 4001 Ranch Road S. 620, Bee Cave, Texas. Everything is accepted except paints, hazardous material, liquids, compressed air, and dead animals.

The TDS Transfer Station charges by volume.
