Water District 10 will be replacing an existing water main on Limerick Lane , adding an additional water main on Old Stonehedge Drive, and adding an additional water main on Redbud Trail. The water main replacements are part of the bond package that was approved by voters to improve water pressure in homes and to increase fireflow for emergency situations. The total project is expected to take about eight months.
Prep work will begin the week of October 2nd on Limerick Lane and then progress to Old Stonehedge Drive. The work on those two streets is expected to take two to three months. Once that work is completed, work will begin on the new main on Redbud Trail from Old Stonehedge to Flintridge.
During the construction work, please drive slowly, follow all directions from construction flaggers, and pay close attention to what is happening in order to keep yourself, other drivers, and the construction workers safe. There will be a minor interruption to water service when water service lines are switched over to the new water main. The interruption should not last for more than a few hours, and customers will be notified by Water District 10 at least forty-eight hours in advance.
If you have questions about the project, you can reach Water District 10 at (512) 327-2230 or email@example.com.
