LOOP 360 AT WESTLAKE DRIVE/CEDAR STREET

Crews on the Loop 360 at Westlake Drive/Cedar Street project continue to make progress on the installation of waterlines, excavation of rock cliffs and construction of embankment at various locations throughout the project. This work is in preparation for the construction of the northbound and southbound connector roads and will last through mid-2023. Next steps for the project include construction of retaining walls.

To help with visualization on how the corridor will look once complete, the project team has developed the following renderings:

Northbound Loop 360 mainlanes, connector roads, shared-use path and retaining wall, looking north towards Westlake Drive. All travel lanes and shared-use paths are situated below the top of the cliff cuts.

Northbound Loop 360 connector roads, looking south from Cedar Street. The homes pictured in this rendering are located close to the Austin Country Club. Due to the lower elevation in this area, the retaining wall can be seen from these homes and parts of the Austin Country Club.

LOOP 360 AT COURTYARD DRIVE/RM 2222

The Courtyard Drive/RM 2222 project consists of improvements to the intersection at RM 2222, including a new diverging diamond interchange (DDI). This project also includes improvements to the intersection at Courtyard Drive by removing the signal on the mainlanes and replacing it with an underpass.

The project was environmentally cleared in spring 2021. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026.
